Summer Cabin Project ~ Power

GVEA, our local power co-operative, brought us power and boy was that a great feeling. We had to install the yard pole, meter box, weather head, and the grounding wire then GVEA had to inspect the work before the linemen would drop the power on our property .

Ken did such a great job, on our part of the installation process that the guy from GVEA called to thank him for the great job. That does not happen very often. Go Kenny you rock!

It was my job to back fill the grounding cable.

It is always interesting to see the layers of earth as we dig around on the property. This is virgin land as it has never been developed before ~ ever. We even think that we unearthed an ancient fire pit from years ago. It is a great piece of property with a great view and truly not that far from town and is the perfect place for the boys to make their start in the world. Part of me is jealous, the rest of me is very glad to be able to partake in this adventure.
