Every Night

Every night is the same.  I slumber and I dream, only to awaken with the feel of your lips on the back of my neck.  I reach out for you and discover it was only a dream.

Saturday we had a rainy afternoon.
Three gully washers rolled past and two of them hailed on us.

Growing Up

Beauty will blur, the hair will shorten and transform in hue. Tempers will mellow and composure will increase.

The ability to forgive and forget will be enhanced. Moving forward to the next day will become easier. Learning to let go of the past will leave room for more in your future.

More love, more laughter and more enjoyment.

Be Careful What You Ask For

...

Over the long July weekend our office sink faucet was left on and a flood quickly formed. The three offices effected sat with doors closed, southern windows letting in warmth and sopping wet floors for days. By the time we returned to work mold accompanied by a dreadful smell had taken over.

So what did I ask for? The offices to be emptied and the carpets double cleaned.

Be careful what you ask for as you just might get it!

We were displaced and discombobulated for three days and it has taken me two days to fully move back in and become a functioning employee again.

Here's to dry floors and a sunny summer day to enjoy!

Shopping at the Hy-Vee

Cactus leaves with the thorns .99 cents each ~ in Iowa?

It was a great outing, there were so many fresh fruits for sale at great prices compared to home. It was like heaven. Of course that's what Iowa is to some.

Rain

...
My Grandparents home is in a grove of old oak trees and it is quite a sight when it rains and the wind blows. The branches swirl and bend as the leaves pull on their stems.

It is the perfect place for a home filled with loving hearts.

Outhouse Tank

...

The outhouse tank is buried, one step closer to done. These photos tell a great story ~ boys playing in the dirt ~ fun at all ages.

Thank you Greer Tank & Welding we will be back around when it comes time to purchase the fuel tanks. I however would have one request... if the tanks could be marked with the original fancy type font stencil... I wonder if those templates are still around? That would be so awesome if they were and if our tanks could be special marked.
