Termination Dust

This morning we woke to what we call termination dust.  There has been fresh snow on the mountains of the Alaska Range for a few weeks now but this is the first bit of snow that has shown up so close to home.

This is that light dusting of snow that sticks around more than an hour and just might stay for a while.  The roofs and grass are dusted white signifying the end of another glorious Alaska summer.

All day yesterday we were at the property working like good beavers getting ready for winter and trying to finish the roof on the youngest cabin before it snowed.

Here is what it looked like last night at 5:30 p.m.

The plan is to get up there again today at about 11:00 a.m. and keep on with the forward motion!

Wish us luck and a helping hand from our good Lord!
