Bright Sunny Morning

It had been snowing off and on all day yesterday and last night it started to accumulate on the ground. As you can see we had cleaned the deck up getting ready for summer.  After two weeks of semi warm temperatures almost all the signs of winter were gone so to have a white world again is a bit disheartening. We do feel lucky because other parts of the state have more accumulation. Snow in Alaska in May is not totally out of the normal but the past few years our May has been been mostly green so we are feeling put out and dejected.

This morning we awoke to a sunny day with the fresh snow making the house bright.  Then you add in the glow from the fireplace, a large cup of coffee and you have a great morning.

The sun has already started to melt the snow from the roofs but there are dark clouds approaching from the Northwest again so we could have a peaceful snowy afternoon.  Enjoy your Saturday and I hope you are having a green spring.
