Lunch in Tubac

...Our first afternoon in Arizona was the only rainy day on our trip. We were driving south on interstate 19 to the little village of Tubac. It was fun to drive in the rain instead of having to drive in the snow.

Lunch at the Artist's Palate.

Scenic high desert vistas surround Tubac and the village that once served as the home for a Spanish military garrison now is rich with artists studios ~ where art meets history.
A brief history of Tubac can be found here:
Tubac Chamber of Commerce.

It was a great afternoon as we headed south to the end of U.S 19 at Nogales on the boarder with Mexico and turned the car Northeast towards Patagonia, Sierra Vista and Fort Huachuca. Huachuca pronounced Wa-chew-Ka. Or what I like to say
~ what-chew-ka-doing for dinner tonight!
