Macmillan’s Pocket American and English Classics

Below you will find my wish list for the early edition Macmillan’s pocket classics. There are three cover styles that were used by Macmillan Publishing Company over the years from around 1908 to the early 1930’s. The oldest of the cover styles is what you see in the picture here, and the ones that I wish most to collect. However if a person was able to find one of the below listed titles, in good condition, in the later edition plain brown cover, these would also be read and enjoyed. The main factor to keep in mind, when out book shopping, is the fact that they are the ‘pocket classics’ and therefore will all have the same dimensions (4.5 x 6.5 inches).

Here is my wish list (the long version):

Andersen’s Fairy Tales
Arnold’s Sohrab and Rustum
Austen’s Pride and Prejudice
Austen’s Sense and Sensibility
Browning, Mrs. Poems (Selected)
Bryant’s Thanatopsis, etc.
