On The Job with Bear

On the job with Bear at Bassett Army Hospital on Fort Wainwright. Three floors up from the open atrium to patch some holes and repaint. All the while wearing the appropriate fall protection of course. It is a good thing that he says he is oddly comfortable with heights. Being 6’7” I can see this as something he would say.

On the Job in Denali Park

Bear is back to work on the Engineering Building at the UAF campus, and his current office view from the 4th floor is pretty sweet!

On the Job ~ Part Five

There he is again ~ a giant among men ~ really he is a giant at 6'7" ~ a hard working giant of a man! At the end of the summer, when the other job was finished, he was put to work on the new dining facility at UAF's Wood Center.  

It was a beautiful fall day to walk to lower campus and take photos. Now the place is covered in snow, cold and dark.  Enjoy your winter day and think warm thoughts!

On the Job ~ Part Four

This summer the Fairbanks Pipeline Training Center built a new dorm facility for the trainees, that live out of town but have to come to town for apprenticeship training. The youngest son was on this job most of the summer.  He has been around town helping to build a few prominent places such as a satellite platform, the native clinic, and the greenhouse at UAF.

On the Job ~ Part Three

The youngest son is now working on the new NASA satellite platform that is being installed just west of West Ridge.  It was a nice fall day for a walk in the woods to take a few photos.

The B-Man on the job site this summer helping to build the new native clinic in town.  This is the second building in town he has worked on and will have pride in the years to come for helping build the future.
