Wind in My Hair

It is a warm spring day. I am riding in the vehicle with the window down, the breeze blows in and tosses my hair in every which direction. The song on the radio fills the remaining space between us and I cannot help but sing along.

Spring is that wonderful time of the year when life starts to return to our world. Our hearts too are filled with joy. May spring bring love, a light heart and a smile to your life.

Enjoy the wind in your hair.

Cartwheels

Are the days of cartwheels gone from my life? Am I to old for such silliness? When was the last time I preformed the daring feet of spinning myself head over toes while keeping my hands firmly planted on the ground? If I remember correctly I think I lost my watch that day. The loss of the watch however was worth it as I gained so much more in the loosing.

The heart is willing but the body is weak ~ how did this happen ~ and when? I must have blinked and missed it. Perchance today I will muster the strength and attempt a cartwheel ~ when no one is looking ~ definitely I will carry a cartwheel in my pocket like any other treasured coin.

Friends

Friends are a great joy, friends bring love and laughter to our lives. Some friendships span the decades and last a lifetime. I have been very fortunate to have friends that have been in my life since I was a young girl and I know they will be with me always.

They would be at my side with a beckoning call. They are with me in heart and soul as they know I am with them always. Always!

Here's to friendship! Here's to love! Here's to always!

Spring Exclamations

Kick off your shoes.
Run in opposite directions.
Chase your thoughts in circles.
Scream past the limits and
create exceptions to the rules.

Lines of Love

A hug, a handshake and a kiss.
Handshake of gratitude.
A hug of admiration.
A kiss of love.
The transitions between an acquaintance,
a friend and a lover.

Darkness

In the darkness does mankind create their best work? Here in their sorrow man can better illuminate their humanity when they bitterly crawl toward the light. Mankind is reluctant at times to show their humanity and share with others but when they share, we are illuminated. When we find our voice, we find the power to share our humanity. In sharing we have the power to emerge from the darkness.

Forever in the Light

Can good last forever? Rolling toward us is inevitable change. Good cannot last forever without being challenged. In order to know your goodness you must undergo the challenge, the true test of your faith.

There is a message of hope and light ~ seek and you shall find.

Can You Hear Me?

Can you hear me? Do you know that I am here? Right now I could be watching T.V., eating fat free donuts, I could be bored waiting for something to happen, oh and hey I have a rock in my shoe.

The need to be heard is great among humans. Hear me, think of me, remember me. Like you, I have a desire to be heard, to be remembered or to be found if someone thought I was lost among the masses.

In our culture there are several mediums, some good and some not so good, that we can use if we wish to be heard, found or remembered. I have explored two of these mediums, Facebook and blogging. With each you need an account, with each you try to make a connection, but with in-your-face-book you log into your account and are bombarded with trivial nonsense about people you may or may not know. You are constantly asked to make new friends, claim someone as a relative, you can even 'poke' someone. With a blog such as this you invite others to visit at their leisure.

This blog is not selling anything, not asking you to be anyone else's friend, or even begging for your attention. It is just a place for self expression and if you, as my invited friends, choose to stop by for a quick read you can share in my thoughts and some of life's happenings.

Windfall

The wind falls all around me walking along this path. At times it falls on my back encouraging me along. Gentle nudges in the right direction. Sometimes a strong hand to shove me out of harm’s way and back onto the right path.

The windfall descends upon me to bestow abundant wisdom. Droplets of fulfillment from the wise men whom have come before me. The windfall of gratitude bringing life to my daydreams.

Let the wind fall upon you to satisfy those unfulfilled longings. All that you yearn for will be carried to you on today's wind.

Midnight Snow

Midnight dreams filling the empty space with desire. Each flake a moment in time. Each moment we wish to fill with love. Pure white love.

We need it when we are young babies. We search for it as young adults. We crave the love, to behold that comfortable smile meant just for us. To know that the smile on their face is the reflection of their heart and its cause is you. White fluffy flakes of love. Pure white love.

Hugs

That ever needed always wanted touch. To have contact with another person, to touch, to hug and kiss or just to be physically close to another, holding hands, is a driving force within all of us. It is almost like the skin is a direct link to the heart and can fill the emotional human need to feel excepted and loved.

The warm squeeze of a hug, the embrace from another that shares love. Are you giving and receiving your daily allotment? What if the person who needs your hug the most is miles away? You can send your words of love through the telephone line but they cannot replace the warmth of a hug. What if you could send a stand in, a proxy hugger?

Having small children around is a way to ensure you are always giving and receiving hugs as they are natural hug magnets. As we age people do not always show the warm affections that we still need in our lives. Are you giving and receiving your daily allotment of hugs?

Key Hole

Time passes, hours, days and minutes slip through the key hole. As I peek past to the other side I see a grand vision. A ballroom filled with women in beautiful dresses and handsome men in dashing attire. All is glittering and gold. Ornate frescoes cross the ceiling overhead and the music whiffs around the dancers.

Vision's of a life through the key hole, filled with grandeur, can dilute our daily existence. We must keep in mind that life does pass quickly, like smoke through the key hole. Today is a great day to be breathing, and hug those we love. A great day to laugh. A great day to be part of the joy around us.

Take the time to truly be part of others lives, those that you call friend and those who are your family. To truly participate in their lives, even from a distance it is possible to show them that you care, that you love them.

What's New?

What's new with you? Is there anything that I would find exciting? Anything that you might think is just another small detail in your day but one that I would find neat that you wish to share? Now remember this is me you are talking to and I find the smallest things in life make the best stories.

Did you have a thought you wanted the entire world to know? Perhaps an epiphany, change your entire outlook on life sort of stuff. Anything? Anything at all?

Perhaps you want to share just what you are doing right now... this very second.

Heart, Body & Soul

Three things that you need to be mindful of when it comes to taking care of yourself and those that you love are the heart, the body, and the soul. Do not give your heart to just anybody, likewise do not just give your body to any bleeding heart. Have control over your physical body's desires and know the right time to express these desires. When it comes down to knowing your heart you must know what you want and to understand why.

We surround our body with stuff. We fill our body with stuff. We spend money on stuff. People see the stuff around others and judge their value by the value of the stuff. Granted a comfortable home, that roof over your head and warm dry bed to rest in is a must. Food on the table ~ healthy food ~ that feeds the body with goodness is also a must. We must keep in mind as we are in the world working, making money, just what do we want to do with this money. How much stuff do we need and what value these objects hold in our lives. Less is more! Live simple. Learn that money is just a tool. A tool to use to accomplish those things in life that you wish to. Remember benevolence is better than greed.

Your soul ~ your being. Your faith. Sharing the same faith with your spouse, meditate together to strengthen your relationship with each other.

Heart, body, and soul ~ sex, money, and faith. When you understand these things and how they work in your life you will add to your enlightenment.

Psalms 8 ~ Feast of Brigid

O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained.

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet.

All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

Rules

The following are the rules for the International Dibs System as defined by teenage males.

Shotgun will reserve you the passenger front seat for the immediate trip in said vehicle.

Dibs can override shotgun and is commonly used to reserve the Thai leftovers in the frig for your lunch the next day. That is if there are leftovers.

Yoink outranks dibs ~ since when something has been yoinked it is usually food and quickly enters your mouth. Yoink can also apply to non food items as in ~ it was yours but now it is mine.
