Next step ~ set the glass tiles on the edge and apply them with tile adhesive. Wait four hours for them to be secure.
It then took me about two hours to finely fit the rocks in the puzzle around the top to my liking.

All the stones are set and the adhesive has to cure for 48 hours before I can apply the grout.
I hate waiting....

What are you going to do with the wrought iron base? Spray paint it oil rubbed bronze? Can't wait to see the finished project!
In the spring when I can work outside I am going to clean the base up and spray it with a new layer of semi-gloss black - but the oil rubbed bronze look is a great idea - oh the choices... It used to be gold then someone has painted it black and over the years the gold is starting to show in the nicks.
I will post photos in the spring, I have time to think about that style to go with, thanks for the idea.
