If you are not a numismatic here is a clue to help you look for what is needed for my coin collection. The 'S' underneath the year is for the San Francisco mint; 'D' stands for the Denver mint and if there is "P" or no mark under the year it stands for the Philadelphia mint.
Since Alaska is miles away from the East coast not many coins from the Philadelphia Mint make the journey North. So, usually the coins that I need are from the Philadelphia Mint.
Below is the list of coins needed for my collection. Thanks for keeping a sharp eye out for these particular years and sending them my way.
Pennies - Philadelphia mint does not have a 'P' on the pennies - except 2017

The truth in the matter has finally reached my ears, I mean I never believed that they would stop making pennies but the truth doesn't actually care what I believe. In May of 2025 the U.S. Mints, all three of them, have stopping pressing zinc filled copper coated planchets into pennies. Stopped. The U.S. Treasury will no longer purchase pennies from the Mints. Temporarily or for the permanent run who can say but truth currently tells the tale that the penny conveyor belts are quiet.
My ask, save onto all 2025 pennies (and 2024 for good measure) that pass into your hands. Collect them now until, well forever, but a year will do for starts to cement the habit of noticing.
And if you're so inclined forward a few of them to me. I promise it will make my smile light up like a Christmas tree in July. Of course if you are so inclined and find yourself becoming a numismatic, keep some of the treasure for your future self.
