Farther Down the Glenn Highway

Matanuska Glacier... or whats left of it.

At  mile 52 of the Glenn Highway there is an old relic from the tourist hay-days long past. In my searching I am unable to find out what this place was named. But it most likely housed a gift shop filled with Bootleggers Cove slip-clay ceramics with the cream & rust colored textures, made into chachki (tchotchke), along with other fine works of Alaska art.

On  the last stretch of the drive back home there was a thunderstorm rolling into town from Hatcher Pass.

In a few months time clouds will start to bring snow, so for now rain is good.

Enjoy your day friends.
