Grilling Fun

This house has been good to us and grilling on the deck has been one of our favorite family activities. We are going to miss you deck, and grill, and flag, and birch tree. 

Going to miss seeing that cheesy grin every day!

Moving is bittersweet, and after 17 years in the same place the emotional attachment to this house is strong.  But we are stronger and have other goals in mind and these goals better fit our lives and where we want to go. We are bravely taking that next step towards that next step.

Montgomery's Family Vacation Destination Alaska

When the Montgomery girls found out that they were coming to Alaska this summer they were beside themselves with excitement!

And then came the count down... 

In 23 short days J.T., Grace and the girls May & Rachel will be on a grand Alaska adventure!

Road Construction

It would not have been a spring or summer road trip in Alaska without some road construction.  If you are driving the Parks Highway this summer be ready to stop for a bit just North of Healy as they are working on a good 20 mile stretch of road.

It is always fun to drive by the huge pieces of equipment while they are working.

Another Drive to Fairbanks

The middle of May found us yet again driving to Fairbanks and boy was it a grand drive.  Denali was shining in all it's glory the entire day!  We stopped at the South view point to play tourist and it was fabulous!

The view from the parking lot is even great!

At Broad Pass we passed a neat old J.D. Thought of my Dad and smiled and leaked a tear or three too.  

It was another great drive with an awesome wheel man and best friend.
