Cabin Project ~ Flooring

The flooring is going in and boy howdy does it look good.  First Brett needed to glue down some subfloor and then he needed to buy the right tool for the job.

Kind of like the Olympics our team project has some individual activities and Brett is our shining star on this one. Go team go!

Big Drive Day

All set for the drive south.  It is 356 miles to Anchorage and the road reports through the pass are good.

Here's to safe drives, easy towing over the hills and through the woods to our new town.

Ready Set Go

We picked up the U-Haul and car transport trailer today. There were two trucks on the lot, this one and another one that was not only from my home state but the town we lived near. How cool is that? Our good luck at work again.

The truck is all packed and the car is loaded,  we should be able to hit the road in the morning without much dawdle time.

P.S. you should know that it was -20 today.  I dislike moving in the winter.

A HUGE thank you to the boys and Colleen for all their help loading up and Lemongrass for supper.

This is Going to be GREAT!

When in doubt, just take the next small step. Packing to move to Anchorage, that next step.

Gulping down the scary.

Breathing in the - this will be great.

And yes this is an adventure, like that roller coaster ride at Disney World, you know the one, it makes you want to throw up as the sound of your scream is swallowed into oblivion.

This is going to be great!

Fond See-You-Later

Don't you just love balloons? I do! And what a nice surprise to have an office so full of balloons that you can barely get to your desk!

Apparently they did not want me to get much work done today. Thank you for the full office of balloons it made my morning (I know who you are and you are awesome). It has been a pleasure working with everyone and I bid you all a fond see-you-later.

Cabin Project ~ Ceiling Fan

Photo of what the ceiling looked like before the painting was completed. Dusty!

The ceiling and main wall paint has a yellow hue and next to the dull white primer it looked really yellow but now that the painting is completed and has dried it looks warm white.

Check out the ceiling fan. That is a nice fan and a great instillation job ~ go Kenny! You are our hero!

Cabin Project ~ Painting Party

With this awesome crew we were able to paint the entire cabin floor to ceiling and then some. The cabin project to-do list is getting shorter to the point that the move in date for Bear is actually in sight. Big changes all around!

Huge thanks to each of you for all your hard work! It was a GREAT day!

Go team us! We rock-n-roll and rule the paint brush!

Paper Stars ~ Project Complete

All 150 paper stars that we made over Christmas break have been strung with thread and dipped in wax. The wax will preserve them and keep them from getting crushed. What a fun family project, we even had a cheering section. Thanks Bear for watching us make the stars and cheering us on, we know that with such giant hands, folding little itty bitty stars just was not your cup of tea.

Happy Tuesday and high five for completed projects just in time to pack them up for the big move!
