A secondary source of heat is a must in the great northland, as power outages can be frequent in the winter time. The cabin’s main heat source is a Toyostove Oil Miser which needs electrical power to run so the secondary heat source will be a wood stove. The chimney was the last thing to install on the roof, once that was done we were able to take off the cabin’s wing and the catwalk. At first the cabin looked a little naked without its wings but the finished roof look grows on you.
Next up ~ house wrap! It is like wrapping a giant present, only harder, and you have to use staples and the wind can grab the wrapping and blow you over. Good times!
Glad you convinced me to just finish up with the chimney. To think I might have skipped ahead to save time! Just another reason we could not do without you! And another thing, that aft pad where the fuel tank sits - top notch work building that up! You are awesome!!
